To determine the potential electrical output a system would produce, visit PV Watts. Leave the default values and enter in the appropriate kW in the DC Rating (kW) box.

For example: For a 4488 watt system, enter 4.488 in the DC rating box. If you live in Los Angeles, CA your expected annual output would be 6,596 kWh. In order to maximize the benefits of solar, size your system so that your expected annual output (PV Watts value) is approximately equal to your past year's electrical usage.
