ARIZONA incentives

On October 31, 2006 the Arizona Corporation Commission approved a new Renewable Portfolio Standard that will require up to 2,000 MW of solar electrical capacity by 2025. This will make Arizona's solar program the second largest in the country. Currently, Arizona residents are eligible for a solar rebate through their electrical utility.

Arizona Public Service: $3/watt DC

Tucson Electric Power: $2.40/watt DC

SRP: $3/watt DC up to $30,000

For example, if a homeowner is a customer of SRP and installs a 3366 watt solar system, they would be eligible for a $10,098 grant under the SRP program. In addition, they would be able to receive a $2,000 Federal Tax Credit and a $1,000 Arizona State Tax Credit bringing the total solar incentive to $13,098.
